Welcome to Stonožka

Stonožka is the children’s book imprint of the Slovak publishing house IKAR, a.s., based in Bratislava.

Stonožka brings the joy of reading to children aged 0 to 12. Inspired by the centipede — a symbol of diversity and movement — it offers a rich variety of stories and genres, from fiction and poetry to engaging non-fiction by both local and international authors.

From first picture books and nursery rhymes, through fairy tales, activity books, and early reading, to captivating stories and first encyclopedias, Stonožka grows with every child. Step by step, year by year, it guides young readers into a world of imagination, knowledge, and unforgettable experiences that last a lifetime.

Our dream? Every child reads at least 100 books.
